I am so ashamed to say that I haven’t blogged (here) in what feels like forever. Despicable. But this was just something I couldn’t not share with y’all.
Google “Boston to Austin” and you’ll get a flight suggestion from Expedia. Scroll down a bit and you’ll find the site for “Boston to Austin — Hit the Road Running (2,000-mile run).” Click on it and you’ll find a story of three young chaps — one from Texas and two brothers from Wales — who set out on a journey via foot literally from Boston to Austin. Forget flight suggestions; these guys hit the road running. They recently covered all 2,000 miles, running a route through NYC, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Louisville, Memphis, Shreveport, and eventually to Austin, TX. How awesome is that? I, personally am in total awe. And they did it all for four great causes as chosen by the runners. Not only do they get bragging rights from this great experience, but they were also awarded with a badass sponsorship from Puma. Sweet!
I probably can’t help but sound a bit proud when I write about these guys because one is a good friend of mine, Scott Jenkins (pictured middle below). Way to go, Scott. Seriously an achievement of a lifetime 🙂 Can’t wait to see what y’all come up with next. Make sure to check them out on Facebook to read what they’re up to now.
